Mae & Jeune Tamworth welcomes Carina Chambers! Let's celebrate local creativity, colour and community.
Carina grew up on a cattle farm in the middle of the Liverpool Plains. While it was a relatively isolated upbringing, she had this sense of being wrapped up in the warmth of the land around her. Her one teacher school was tiny but the local community was (and still is) just incredible, so strong and resilient and wonderful to be a part of. These days she lives in Tamworth with her husband Nick and their two young girls.
“I think it’s that warm country spirit that fuels me, and ultimately my art, too. My new series is full of joy and centres on predominantly vividly painted and intricately patterned tablescapes. These artworks were created during lockdown when I craved gathering around the dinner table with loved ones, entertaining and socialising – things we once took for granted!”
